Making 2025 your best year - small changes that result in huge gains in production and profitability
Course Description:
A new year brings a certain kind of excitement in every aspect of our lives — to be more at peace, more fit, more patient with our kids, more mindful about our diets, and more productive and profitable at work. Oftentimes, as bread and butter dentists, we feel that the only way to become more productive is to add more procedures, more stress, and more time; but it doesn’t have to be that way. In this highly entertaining and relatable 1-hr presentation, Dr. Gupta shares innovative tech, unique marketing, and valuable (but little known) procedures that, when added to our operational repertoire, will make 2025 our best year.
Course Objectives:
- Discover dental holidays, like "Clear Aligner Day," "Implant Overdenture Day," and other focussed themed marketing as a means of adding several highly profitable starts in a single day
- Learn about how society's desire for disease prevention can serve as a highly advantageous offering in your office
- Find out how tech innovations can make your office run smoother, more efficiently, and more profitably
About The Speaker
Dr. Ankur Gupta
Ankur A Gupta, DDS, after completing a one-year GPR in Cleveland, started a practice from scratch in 2005. Armed with what he considered adequate dental knowledge, hand skills, and a personable demeanor, he watched as his practice floundered, finances became un-predictable, and his lower back and spirit toward his profession became worrisome. Rather than continue the trend, he made a guinea pig out of his office, family, and self, attempting any and all personal and professional “experiments” in self-improvement.
More than a decade later, he enjoys an excellent practice, a solution oriented dental team; and most importantly, a meaningful and positive identity. He happily shares the failures and successes with dental and community groups throughout the country, always ending his presentations with practical, implementable, step-by-step ways to be better.
Dr. Gupta graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2004. In 2005, after completing a one-year General Practice Residency in Cleveland, Ohio, he and his partner Dr. Nisha Gupta started North Ridgeville Family Dentistry. In addition to founding North Ridgeville Family Dentistry, Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, ADA Success Speaker Corp and an active board member and a speaker for Catapult Education’s Speaker Bureau.

About The Speaker
Dr. Julie Woods
Dr. Julie Woods has worked as a periodontist since finishing her residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004. She has owned her practice for over fifteen years. In 2017, when she was at the height of production, burned out, and making less money than ever before. Dr. Woods was tempted to walk away from dentistry all together.
Thankfully, someone suggested she read Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. Within the book, Mike outlines a system which guarantees profitability starting the first day of implementation. She began working the system early in 2018 and has since paid off all remaining business and school loan debt (early), decreased overhead, increased profitability, and maintained her take-home pay without having to work more.
In 2020, Dr. Woods completed her certification as a Profit First Professional. As a working periodontist, author, and the “Profit First Dentist”, she educates others on how to be consistently profitable by helping colleagues implement the Profit First cash management system within their practices. Owners better understand their business finances, improve cash flow and ensure profitability. Dentists that take profit first, work smarter, rather than harder, which means they spend less time working in their businesses.
