Course Description:
This course analyzes the practice transition process, both from a buyer’s side and a seller’s side. The course is designed to examine the issues and concerns a buyer will face in connection with the acquisition of a dental practice as well as examine the issues a seller should be aware of prior to starting the sale of their practice as well as the issues they need to be aware of during the selling process. The issues raised will show both sides viewpoints in a way to demystify the practice transition process so that each side can better understand the potential “hang ups” the “other side” may have during the emotional process. Attendees should be potential buyers looking to have an in-depth knowledge of the transition process and sellers who are contemplating the selling of their practice. The seminar will cover a large range of topics associated with the practice transition process including: leases, purchase agreements, financing, real estate, valuations, issues which can derail a transition, real vs. imaginary risks, insurance credentialing during the transition process as well as a host of other issues which can have a dramatic impact on the success of a practice transition being successful.

About The Speaker
George Murray
George Murray is an attorney at Wood & Delgado LLP, where he focuses on business transactions for dentists and health professionals nationwide. His practice covers acquisitions and sales, lease negotiations, DSO and MSO formations, associate employment agreements, and estate planning for practice owners. George represents clients across the country and is a speaker at dental industry conferences, including the Academy of General Dentistry Annual Meeting, where he presents on practice acquisitions, lease negotiations, and seller preparation.
