This course is designed to help dentists and team members to be leaders in their practices. Leaders don’t have to be just the owner of the business. Leaders are individuals that show up and help others succeed while setting their own goals and accomplishing them. DR. GRACE YUM
Dr. Grace Yum grew up in Glenview, Illinois and now lives in sunny California. She is a mother and a certified pediatric dentist, a certification achieved by only 5% of all dentists in the U.S. Dr. Yum is the former founder and practice owner of Yummy Dental & Orthodontics for Kids and she is also the founder and CEO of Mommy Dentists in Business.
Mommy Dentists in Business was started in June of 2017 by Dr. Grace Yum, while on a business trip with her husband. She noticed how lawyers connected and networked with one another and felt that dentistry was missing that component of camaraderie. The Facebook group was a way to connect dentists from all over the world, especially dentists like herself, moms that are business owners.
In addition to managing the MDIB community, Dr. Yum hosts her own podcast, Mommy Dentists in Business Podcast. With 20 seasons and counting, Dr. Yum’s podcast has been in the iTunes top 100, was ranked #3 of 15 of the top dental podcasts by Patterson Dental’s “Off the Cusp” publication and has been downloaded over 200,000 times.
She has quietly become nationally recognized in her field. Dr. Yum has appeared and was featured on TODAY Show on NBC nationally, NBC Chicago as a repeat guest, Parents Magazine, Parenting Magazine, Chicago Parent Magazine. She has also appeared on many podcasts, with topics covering dentistry, work/life balance and business tips for the working mom.
During her spare time, Dr. Yum enjoys spending time with her two kids and husband in Newport Coast, California.

Dr. Natanya Brown is a board certified endodontist (with training from Tufts, Harvard, and the Univ of Illinois at Chicago) as well as a certified life and weight loss coach (with training from The Life Coach School). She created Weight Loss for Dentists to help dentists end their struggle with food, without relying on deprivation or intense exercise. Tapping into the power of mindfulness and coaching, she helps dentists create freedom and peace around food as well as balance and clarity in all areas of life. Her process has helped countless individuals decrease overwhelm and burnout by learning to process stress productively and feel confident making choices so they live with intention. Dr. Natanya regularly presents on the topics of health, wellness and burnout to various dental organizations and is the host of the Weight Loss for Dentists podcast.

Dr. Laila Hishaw
Dr. Laila Hishaw is a thought leader and change agent for diversity in dentistry and authority in children’s oral health. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist and holds Fellowships in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Hishaw is a private-practice owner and author of the Amazon bestseller, Cavity Free Kids. She was also published in the Journal of Dental Education as a co-author of “Dental school pathway programs: Best practices for increasing workforce diversity”. She’s been featured on Discovery Health Channel for her role in diagnosing a rare disorder in her patient, and in multiple podcasts and publications. She has served on the ADA Task Force to Eliminate Barriers for Underrepresented Minorities into the Dental Profession and Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation. Dr. Hishaw is an alumna of the ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership.
Diversity in Dentistry Mentorships Inc. is a nonprofit organization she founded that is committed to strengthening the diversity pathway from middle school to dental school through mentoring, educational and hands-on programming, and scholarships to youth and pre-dental students from African-American/Black, Latinx, and Native American backgrounds. Angie Svitak, CPA
Angie’s passion for her work has helped her pave a path for success. An alumna of Sonoma State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting.
Her career began at Deloitte in San Francisco, where she was a senior auditor. She then spent four years with Burr, Pilger and Mayer as an audit manager, before relocating to Texas in 2009. There, she was a senior manager at Whitley Penn. With her long history in auditing, Angie was able to easily transition to Cain Watters and Associates as a financial planner.
Angie grew up near Santa Cruz, California. She spends her time outside of work baking, cooking and enjoying time with her husband and two sons. She’s a Certified Public Accountant, an Investment Advisor Representative, and a former member of the Leadership Frisco Advisory Council and the Texas Society of CPAs.

Prior to the Solution Center, Divya worked in regulatory trade at RTX Corporation and Mercury Systems, Inc., managing international trade as an empowered official. Ally works with individuals seeking therapy as a means of improving their lives. Dr. Nada Albatish
Dr. Nada Albatish owns and operates a multidisciplinary practice, All Smiles Dental Centre, just north of Toronto. As a passionate learner, she first completed a GPR, followed by hundreds of hours of CE each year. She is a fact finder – always researching, looking for evidence, and understanding the whys of what we do in practice as dentists.
Nada started her current practice from scratch as a solo practitioner and quickly realized she needed a strong support team as well as a team of skilled doctors in multiple specialties to help her achieve her goals as a comprehensive dentist. Today, Nada’s niche is complex and rehabilitative dentistry, supported by a team of 30, including general practitioners and specialists.
Nada is honored to serve as Faculty for Clinical Mastery Series, curator for Restorative Nation, co-author a book, write articles, and speak at various dental events. Nada is inspired by helping dentists to achieve excellence, predictability, and confidence in their craft. As a mother to two beautiful girls, Nada is blessed every day to be able to see the world through the eyes of her little people. In her free time, which she has learned to intentionally create on a weekly basis, she loves to exercise, eat good food, and spend time with her girls doing absolutely nothing except living in the moments. During the 20% of the year that Toronto has good weather, she finds peace in water sports, especially paddle boarding on the lake under the sun. The rest of the year she creates the same feeling by traveling!
