About The Speaker
Susan Gunn
“Lead with Integrity,” is Susan Gunn’s mantra. Susan does just that in providing solutions that empower dentists to understand the business of their practice and to protect the practice’s finances!
After life in corporate America, she discovered dentists did not know the actual costs of their practice. Susan developed back-to-back accountability between practice and accounting software in an understandable business format, which substantially influenced accounting and consulting across the professional practice industry and established her as the financial organizational thought leader of the industry.
Armed with a criminology background, and an understanding of healthcare practices, Susan became a Certified Fraud Examiner when a client’s office manager stole from the practice. When embezzlement is suspected, she provides evidence for prosecution or civil suit purposes, then provides systems and procedures to protect the practice’s future.
She has written 48 books primarily for professional practices: QuickBooks In Your Practice (1997-2022), Advanced QuickBooks In Your Practice (2004-2022), More Than Just Turning It On (2000), Maters of the Heart (2016), Money In, Money Out (2019), and Managing Accounts Payable in Your Practice (2023).
A nationally recognized conference and study club speaker, the audience’s attention is held by Susan’s story weaving, expertise, humor and down-to-earth practical advice. She is a National Speakers Association Professional Member and speaks as a means to disseminate necessary critical information, passionately conveying that she stand alongside the audience in whatever she is addressing: embezzlement, finances, ethics, or leadership.
Susan lives in Arlington, TX and is involved in her community.

About The Speaker
Dr. Julie Woods
Dr. Julie Woods has worked as a periodontist since finishing her residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004. She has owned her practice for over fifteen years. In 2017, when she was at the height of production, burned out, and making less money than ever before. Dr. Woods was tempted to walk away from dentistry all together.
Thankfully, someone suggested she read Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. Within the book, Mike outlines a system which guarantees profitability starting the first day of implementation. She began working the system early in 2018 and has since paid off all remaining business and school loan debt (early), decreased overhead, increased profitability, and maintained her take-home pay without having to work more.
In 2020, Dr. Woods completed her certification as a Profit First Professional. As a working periodontist, author, and the “Profit First Dentist”, she educates others on how to be consistently profitable by helping colleagues implement the Profit First cash management system within their practices. Owners better understand their business finances, improve cash flow and ensure profitability. Dentists that take profit first, work smarter, rather than harder, which means they spend less time working in their businesses.

About The Speaker
Jennifer Pearce
Jennifer Pearce has been immersed in dentistry since 1995. Though she spent her first 18 years in the industry as a Practice Administrator, her real eye-opener came during her career co-owning multiple successful dental practices. This is when everything clicked: from managing overheads, to leading teams, to grappling with the changes in dentistry on multiple levels, and––most importantly––the insurance complexities.
For Jennifer, dentistry isn’t just about fixing teeth, it’s centered on building and nurturing relationships. She’s all about what she terms “relational dentistry,” emphasizing the power of
strong connections while practicing dentistry, closing cases, and growing the practice with engaged and highly-trained teams.
In 2017, she founded Prosperity Dental Solutions with a simple motto: “Love your practice…Love your life!” Her mission? Not just streamlining dental operations, but also infusing joy and purpose into the profession in and out of the office. She believes a business is held where an owner holds it; comfort zones and the status quo are practice killers if not transitioned.
Jennifer Pearce is the go-to expert in dentistry, blending her wisdom and strategic smarts to uplift dental professionals and reshape how we approach dental care. Her focus on specialized dentistry and limited-insurance-involvement, paired with her caring-but-candid methods, Jennifer is unlike any other coach or consultant in the dental field today.
