Course Description:
Endodontic–periodontal lesions present unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to the interplay between pulpal and periodontal disease. Successful management requires accurate identification of the primary source, careful clinical evaluation, and tailored treatment planning. This session will review the classification of Endo–Perio lesions, highlight key diagnostic techniques, and outline evidence-based treatment strategies for primary endodontic, primary periodontal, and true combined lesions. Through clinical cases, participants will learn practical decision-making pathways, treatment sequencing, and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize long-term outcomes.
Course Objectives:
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between primary endodontic, primary periodontal, and true combined lesions using clinical and radiographic diagnostic tools.
- Develop appropriate treatment strategies for Endo–Perio lesions, including the role of endodontic disinfection, periodontal regeneration, and integrated care sequencing.
- Evaluate prognostic factors and collaborative approaches that enhance healing outcomes and improve patient-centered results.

About The Speaker
Dr. Deepika Ganne
Dr. Ganne earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in India in 1997. Driven by a passion for advanced education, she pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Columbia University, where she continued her training to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming an endodontist in 2003.
After gaining valuable experience practicing in Connecticut, Dr. Ganne and her family relocated to Austin, Texas, in 2005. She joined Austin Endodontics, where she currently serves as a practicing endodontist and owner-doctor at two locations: Cedar Park and Westlake.
Dr. Ganne is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), the Capital Area Dental Society, and is a founding member of the Austin Indian Dental Association (AIDA).
Dedicated to both professional growth and community engagement, Dr. Ganne is committed to lifelong learning. She regularly pursues continuing education and hosts lectures and seminars for her local dental referral network. Her guiding philosophy is simple yet powerful: to provide the highest quality dental care and help patients preserve their natural teeth.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ganne enjoys running, hiking, baking, traveling, and listening to music.
About The Speaker
Dr. Sree Bodapati
Dr. Sree Bodapati is a board-certified periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Bodapati leads Texas Periodontists in Austin, where her practice is dedicated to implants and periodontics. In addition to private practice, she serves as visiting faculty at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, mentoring periodontal residents.
She is an experienced national speaker, having lectured on topics ranging from minimally invasive laser therapies to immediate implant placement. Dr. Bodapati also offers hands on workshops and one-on-one training for dentists, focusing on laser techniques, socket preservation (basic and advanced), and the clinical application of PRF. Known for combining evidence-based treatment with a patient-centered approach, she brings both clinical expertise and practical teaching to every audience.
