Selling a dental practice is one of the most significant decisions a dentist will make in their career. Perhaps only trumped by the decision to become a practice owner in the first place. Dentist Advisors’ Matt Mulock, CFP® will review how dentists should prepare and improve their practices before they start a sale.
Matt Mulcock is a CFP® professional who spent five years as an Investment and Financial Consultant for one of the largest asset managers in the world before transitioning to Dentist Advisors in 2018. His expertise includes portfolio construction, investment management, retirement planning, insurance, debt management, and tax reduction. In addition to advising dentists across the country, he oversees advisor development and the implementation of service improvements. Matt is co-host of the Dentist Money™ Show podcast and author of the “Money Matters” blog.
This lecture explores the critical financial considerations involved in dental practice transitions, whether buying or selling to another doctor or a DSO. Attendees will gain insights into valuation methods, deal structuring, and tax implications to maximize profitability and minimize risks. Designed for dental professionals, this session provides actionable strategies to ensure a smooth and financially sound transition.

One reason is they tend to communicate using legal jargon that only other lawyers can understand! During this session, Mr. Cohen will explain in plain language the key considerations in purchasing and selling a practice.
